Almudena Roca, is a Spanish dancer born in Cartagena(Murcia). Since she was very little she was attracted to the world of dance and so began her studies at the Professional Conservatory of Dance of Murcia. There, in addition to being promoted from the course and finishing it ahead of time, she received the Honors mention in the Professional Degree of Spanish Dance and Flamenco in 2012.
She obtained the First Prize of Spanish Dance and Flamenco in the Time of Dance Competition of Murcia, she is also awarded a scholarship by Doña Virginia Valero, director of the “Conservatorio Superior de Danza de Madrid – María de Avila” to begin her studies at that prestigious center.
In 2017 she is awarded the Superior Title in the Degree of Choreography and Interpretation of Spanish and Flamenco Dance by this same center.
She then combined her professional career with an academic career, graduating in the Master’s Degree in Flamencology from the “Escuela Superior de Música de Catalunya” in September 2018.
She is currently studying for the Doctorate in Art History at the University of Murcia at the Art, Visual Culture and Heritage research faculty.
Professionally she is member of the Dance Company of María Pagés, of the “Marco Flores Dance Company” and of the “José Antonio Flamenco and Dance Company”.
In her career the following participations can be highlighted: soloist of the Antonio Márquez Company until June 2019, the “Sangre y Raza Dance Company”, the “Zarzuela Opera Company” Spanish Musical under the direction of Carlos Vilán, the “Clara Ramona & Co Dance Company” under the direction of Nino and Isaac de los Reyes; the “Ballet Flamenco del Cante de Las Minas de La Unión” under the artistic direction of Javier Latorre, Angel Manarre, Angel Rojas and Carlos Rodríguez and the “Spanish Ballet of Murcia” under the direction of Carmen and Matilde Rubio.
